NKT cell therapy
NKT cell-targeted therapy for cancer
This is a treatment in which dendritic cells isolated from the patient's own blood are given the ability to activate NKT cells and then administered intravenously. NKT cells are a type of lymphocyte that can not only attack cancer cells directly, but also play a role in regulating the immune response to cancer. It is expected that the administered dendritic cells will activate NKT cells in the body, which will act directly and indirectly on cancer to exert an anti-tumor effect.

Treatment Overview
This treatment is an elective medical treatment.
Flow of NKT cell therapy
1. Harvesting of raw materials
To obtain the blood cells necessary for culturing NKT cells, blood will be drawn or apheresis (collection of blood components) will be performed depending on the patient's condition.
2. Preparation of cells
The blood is sent to the cell culture and processing facility of Medinet Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of specific cell processed products, where it is cultured for approximately three weeks to prepare NKT cells.
3. Administration
The dendritic cells are sent to a medical institution under appropriate temperature control on the day of treatment and administered intravenously into the bloodstream.
Treatment period and frequency
The treatment plan will vary depending on the patient's condition and symptoms, so we will decide after you have undergone an examination and tests.
Cost (private medical treatment)
Please note that treatment will vary depending on the patient's condition and symptoms, so we will inform you of the treatment plan after it has been decided.
Risks and Side Effects
After administering the therapeutic cells, you may experience a slight fever (in most cases, the fever will subside within a day and will be below 38°C). In addition, other side effects that are thought to be directly caused by this treatment may include fatigue, itchiness, injection site reactions (erythema, etc.), and symptoms that seem to be allergic reactions, but in most cases these are mild and disappear within a few days.
About efficacy
It is hoped that improving immune function, which has been weakened by aging, stress, and the progression of disease, can treat or prevent cancer, but all treatments have limitations in their effectiveness, and results vary from person to person.
